• Manage Air Canada’s government relations community giving strategy with respect to projects outside of Ontario that relate to Ontario and federal government interests
• Drafting documents and briefing notes in response to public consultations on a variety of topics of current interest
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws regarding lobbying the federal and Ontario governments
• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and organizations, particularly in the transportation and tourism industries
• Managing day-to-day communications between Air Canada and elected officials and their staff, government officials in key federal departments and agencies, and federal agencies.
• Ongoing contact with Canadian government officials on all issues of interest to Air Canada.
• Liaison with key stakeholders in the aviation sector (NAV Canada, CATSA, etc.) to promote Air Canada’s interests.
• Monitor and proactively work on legislative, regulatory and policy developments that affect Air Canada and the aviation industry.
