About the Role
Strategically responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory, operational and developmental learning programs required by QAS Cargo, effectively identifying, developing, organizing and delivering them using adult learning techniques and a learner-centric approach to improve the performance and productivity of individuals within the organization. This role includes strategic planning, management, monitoring, and organization of learning programs to the highest standards.

Operational Requirements.
- Create and maintain high standards to support the learning environment.
- Support and supervise the team in the design and development of training packages, including presentations, participant books, exercises, written assessments, syllabi, and lesson plans based on best practices and adult learning principles.
- Ensure that all learning programs and training packages are current, accurate and presentable in accordance with regulatory/legal requirements and SOPs.
- Lead and implement learning and development programs, projects and workshops within the QR Group.
- Facilitate and deliver training in line with adult learning techniques and learner-centered approach.
- Conduct TNA (Training Needs Analysis) to assess both business and participants to develop strategic plans and training matrix.
- Develop and maintain training manuals in line with SOPs, regulations, and international requirements.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all regulatory, operational, and developmental learning programs to enable the organization to achieve safety, security, and quality goals and to enable individuals to perform and improve their performance.
- Implement measures other than audits and surveys to ensure the effectiveness and quality of learning programs, training packages, and instructors that meet company and international standards.
- Take immediate corrective action as needed.
- Continuously follow up on costs and expenses against budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university or graduate school
- Preferably a certified trainer from a reputable institution
- IATA Professional Skills for Dangerous Goods Instructors certificate (preferred)
- IATA Live Animal Regulations (Preferred)
- IATA Perishable Cargo Regulations (Preferred)
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience
- Experience in hazardous materials and cargo operations
- Experience with 70:20:10 learning model
- Experience in project and performance management (preferred)
- Familiarity with cargo/warehouse operations systems (preferred)
- Aviation related certifications preferred

About the Role.
You will be responsible for the overall management of the transportation and logistics functions of Qatar Airways Services’ passenger and baggage department, maintaining quality standards in passenger and baggage handling. Specifically, this includes bus operations, medical lifts, wheelchair passengers, VIP, baggage and ULD transportation.
- Monitor the on-time performance of passenger and baggage handling operations on a daily and weekly basis. Report any delay issues to management.
- Ensure resources and equipment are available to meet operational needs and limit the impact on operations.
- Serve as a liaison between airline representatives and other QAS departments on all airside transportation and logistics issues. Escalate requests from airlines and QAS departments to the Senior QAS Management Team for prompt action as required.
- Should the need arise to provide job specific training to the transport team, work closely with the Training Manager and his team to ensure that all staff have received the mandatory training.
- Ensure adherence to the Safe Work System and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Transportation and Logistics department.
- Manage departmental overtime and keep overtime costs within budget while maintaining sufficient resources to meet schedule demands.
- Responsible for the budget and planning of the Transportation and Logistics department, planning vehicle and staff resources to meet published flight schedules.
- Monitor INFORM planning, Roster Control and Real-Time to maintain sufficient transportation resources.
- Manage and resolve service issues from internal and external customers. Internal issues such as operational and service failures leading to delays and external issues related to vehicle transportation and management from contractors and various stakeholders.
